Welcome to Early Music Day, the springtime of Bach! This year we celebrate together the 14th edition of Early Music Day. The day is a global and unifying celebration of the richness of music that on 21 March – on J S Bach’s birthday, also the first day of spring – offers hundreds of concerts across Europe and the world.

The Early Music Day was initiated by Peter Pontvik and is coordinated by REMA under the patronage of the European Commission and in cooperation with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). The ambassadors of the 14th edition 2026 of the EMD is Lucie Horsch & Sarah Jeffery.
